Parade Saddle

Parade saddles are made to be noticed. Many are now collector pieces, having been popular in the 1950s and 1960s. These huge saddles were created to maximize the amount of surface area accessible for decorating. With these flashy saddles, there is no such thing as “too much.” While some manufacturers made factory versions, the most unusual and extravagant saddles were made as one-of-a-kind custom designs.

A parade saddle has the following characteristics:

  • Deep tooling and exceptionally exquisite silver trim and carving adorn the piece.
  • Large skirts to allow for extra decorating
  • Stirrups for tapadero
  • To handle the weight of the numerous silver embellishments, the weight is heavier.

Nothing beats waving to the crowd from the seat of one of these magnificent machines.
