Western Saddle Brand Price Ranges
There are many, many saddle brands from dozens of manufacturers in production today. On this page we've assembled a list of a good portion of those brands, spanning a wide range of pricing and craftsmanship.
While we're often asked to give some sort of overall quality rating to each of the different brands, there are just too many variables involved to come up with a rating that would be meaningful across the brands.
Price, however, is a good ballpark indicator of the quality of a western saddle.
In the chart below, you'll see a series of dollar signs ($) next to each brand that indicates an estimated price range as defined in the price key. You'll notice that some of the larger brands, such as Circle Y, can have wide price ranges.
In addition to providing a helpful guide for shopping for new saddles, this chart is even more helpful for shopping for used saddles. It isn't always easy to determine whether the price being asked for a used saddle is a fair value.
