Parade Saddle

Parade saddles are designed to be seen. Most popular in the 1950’s and 1960’s, many are now collector items. These are large saddles designed to maximize the surface area available for decoration. There is no such thing as “too much” with these showy saddles. While some manufacturers created factory versions, the most unique and over-the-top saddles were created as one-of-a-kind custom designs.

Typical features of a parade saddle include:

  • Extensive decoration – deep tooling and especially elaborate silver trim and carving
  • Large skirts to provide more room for decoration
  • Tapadero stirrups
  • Heavier weight to handle the weight of the extensive silver accents

There’s nothing like waving to the crowd from the seat of one of these beauties.
