LAST WEEK’S PICK:

Last week’s pick – a 15″ Vintage Big Horn Trail Saddle – is still for sale on ebay. Surprising because the starting bid price is $400 with a Make Offer option. You could probably get this saddle for a steal. You just might want to take a look.

THIS WEEK’S PICK:

Vintage Tex tan Trail SaddleThis week we’ve gone for another  vintage  saddle – this time it’s a classic Tex Tan Hereford and it’s a special little saddle.

The saddle is a 15″ Tex Tan Hereford Pleasure Saddle with a classic vintage look, dark oil, floral tooling, and some classy silver trim.

The saddle has a wood tree with a 6 inch gullet width and a padded seat. The saddle is in great condition and has obviously been well cared for.

Which makes the fact that the high bid is currently (as of this writing) only $93  downright crazy. This saddle is easily worth $300-$400, so it looks like someone just might get quite a bargain.

LAST WEEK’S PICK:

Last week’s pick – a popular 17″ Circle Y Park & Trail Saddle – generated 5 bids and a winning sale price of $825. A good price for a good saddle.

THIS WEEK’S PICK:

This week we’ve chosen another very solid and longtime brand – Tex Tan Hereford. They’ve been making solid saddles for years and years.

This week’s pick is a typically Hereford handsome 15″ Tex Tan Hereford Trail Saddle. The saddle is in medium oil and has a 15″ suede padded seat and floral tooling. The rawhide-covered fiberglass tree with a 6 3/4″ gullet width. It’s in solid shape but could use an in-depth cleaning and conditioning.

This saddle is generating lots of interest with 9 bids as of this writing, but the high-bid is still only $199. A lot of folks are hoping to catch a bargain. You might try to catch one too.

LAST WEEK’S PICK:

Last week’s Pick, a quality and well cared for 15.5″ Custom Jim Taylor Reiner started off under the radar, but cream rises. There ended up being 12 bids on the saddle with a final selling price of $1275. Not a steal, but still good value for the money.

THIS WEEK’S PICK:

This week I’ve found another one of those vintage trail saddles that I love so much. This one is from Tex Tan and it’s a little gem.

This week’s pick is a really solid 15.5″ Vintage Tex Tan Saddle. It’s been really well cared for and is ready to ride.

The saddle has full floral tooling, a 6 1/2″ gullet, and only weighs 25lbs. The seller has added new Blevins buckles, saddle strings, latigo, and billets. There are quite a few photos included on the listing that provide a a really good overview of the saddle, so make sure to take a look.

This saddle already has a lot of interest with 13 bids as of this writing, but the price is still only at slightly over $150. This saddle is easily worth $300. A great saddle addition to your barn.
