The “Used Saddle Pick of the Week”

Every week we scour the Internet searching for a particularly juicy bargain on a high quality used western saddle and feature it here on the WSG Saddle Blog. The saddles featured are listed for sale on ebay as of the date of the post.

Checking out our Picks each week will give you some great insight into buying used saddles. Make sure to click through to the actual listing to see all of the photos and description from the seller.

The Western Saddle Guide is not the seller of the saddles featured and does not make any representations about them. We encourage all potential buyers to do their own due diligence on the seller and the saddle before purchasing.

LAST WEEK’S PICK:

Last week’s pick – a 15″ Vintage Big Horn Trail Saddle – is still for sale on ebay. Surprising because the starting bid price is $400 with a Make Offer option. You could probably get this saddle for a steal. You just might want to take a look.

THIS WEEK’S PICK:

Vintage Tex tan Trail SaddleThis week we’ve gone for another  vintage  saddle – this time it’s a classic Tex Tan Hereford and it’s a special little saddle.

The saddle is a 15″ Tex Tan Hereford Pleasure Saddle with a classic vintage look, dark oil, floral tooling, and some classy silver trim.

The saddle has a wood tree with a 6 inch gullet width and a padded seat. The saddle is in great condition and has obviously been well cared for.

Which makes the fact that the high bid is currently (as of this writing) only $93  downright crazy. This saddle is easily worth $300-$400, so it looks like someone just might get quite a bargain.
