Last week’s Pick, a very nice 15.5″ Vintage Tex Tan Trail Saddle found some fans. There were 25 bids on the saddle with a final selling price of $356.51 – a fair price for buyer and seller. This saddle has many miles left in it.

THIS WEEK’S PICK:

This week we highlight a custom saddlemaker we haven’t featured before – Earl Twist out of Kalispell, Montana. Earl has been making great saddles for some time.

This week’s pick is a well built 15.5″ Custom Earl Twist Roping Saddle. The saddle is a trophy saddle, but a very tasteful one with the award (”Snaffle Bit Futurity Champion Pro MRCHA”) subtly woven into the floral carving on the fenders. The cantle also holds the date 1981.

The saddle has a gullet width of 7 1/4″, a 15.5″ suede seat, and full floral carving,

This is a very handsome and well balanced saddle that has been used well and well cared for. Lots of great miles left to ride.

This is a chance to own a custom saddle from a quality maker for a great price. As of this writing there have been 5 bids with a current high bid of $151.50. I don’t think anyone will be able to steal it for that price, but there may be a bargain waiting for you here.
