Mentoring Program for Cowboy Gearmakers
There's a great article in the September issue of "Western Horseman" magazine (if you don't yet subscribe, add that to your to do list) about the Traditional Cowboy Arts Association (TCAA) mentoring program.
TCAA members are gearmakers at the top of their field - saddlemakers, silversmiths, bit and spur makers, rawhide braiders. Each member chooses an up-and-coming craftsman in their field to work one-on-one with and pass on the techniques and artistry of their specific craft.
In the "Western Horseman" article, five of the gearmakers who are being mentored by these greats share their experiences. Fascinating artilce
