LAST WEEK’S PICK:
Last week’s pick – a very nice 16″ Saddlesmith Trail/Pleasure Saddle – turned out to be a genuine bargain. There were 15 bids, but the winning bid was only $425. That’s a heck of a nice saddle for that price.
This week we’ve gone back to a classic brand – Circle Y. Our pick is a 15″ Circle Y Barrel Racing Saddle.
This is a very nice, solid saddle that has seen quite a bit of use, but that just makes it nicely worn in. It’s still very solid and in good shape. The seller has included a nice little video showing off the saddle in the listing.
The saddle has a 15 inch chocolate brown seat and basket weave stamping on the skirts, fork, and cantle, and rough-out jockeys and fenders. The seller doesn’t mention gullet width or saddle bar type, so make sure to inquire before bidding. I suspect that it has semi QH bars.
As of this writing there is only one bid with a bid price of $0.99. But the seller has a Reserve, and the Buy It Now price is $450, so this saddle won’t be going for a song. It’s worth $450, but not a whole lot more.
