The “Used Saddle Pick of the Week”
Every week we scour the Internet searching for a particularly juicy bargain on a high quality used western saddle and feature it here on the WSG Saddle Blog. The saddles featured are listed for sale on ebay as of the date of the post.
The Western Saddle Guide is not the seller of the saddles featured and does not make any representations about them. We encourage all potential buyers to do their own due diligence on the seller and the saddle before purchasing.
This week we’ve found a nice older Longhorn trail saddle with plenty of miles left in it. It could be a nice all-around saddle for a youth or small adult.
These older Longhorn saddles are similar to the older Simco that I’m so fond of. They’re not real fancy, but they’re well-built and a nice ride.
This week’s saddle has a 14inch suede seat and a 7inch gullet, with handsome floral carving. The fleece is in nice shape and the leather is supple.
There’s some bidding on this saddle, but it still is in the “bargain” range at $227.
We present the Saddle Blog’s Used Saddle of the Week:

Just wanted to let you know how much I’ve learned from your blog and website. I was “a total novice” when it comes to western saddles. Now I am just “a novice”. I look forward to gaining more knowledge from you. Thanks!
