Double J is a very nice quality production saddle brand out of Yoakum, Texas. Their saddles start at around $1500 new. Shopping for a used one can be a great way to get a quality saddle at a very affordable price.
This week we’ve found a barely used Double J trophy roping saddle. Trophy saddles made by a quality maker such as Double J can be great bargains. Many competitors end up with more saddles than they can use so they sell the excess. Most are in barely used condition such as this one. This one is especially nice as the trophy markings are relatively subtle.
This saddle is a really nice, heavyweight roping saddle. It has a 15 inch suede seat, approximately 7inch gullet, border tooling on skirts, jockeys and fenders, and 3inch rawhide roper stirrups.
There’s a lot of action on this saddle with 11 bids as of this writing, but the price is still at a ridiculously low $174. Someone’s trying to steal this one. Take a look and see if it might be a nice addition to your tack collection.
