Every week we scour the Internet searching for a particularly juicy bargain on a high quality used western saddle and feature it here on the WSG Saddle Blog. The saddles featured are listed for sale on ebay as of the date of the post.

This week’s pick is a very nice saddle from Courts Saddlery out of Bryan, Texas. Courts has been in business over fifty years and makes nice quality, solid, production saddles. The saddle of the week is a Courts 15″ Sharon Camarillo All Around saddle. Sharon Camarillo is a professional barrel racer and has a signature line of saddles with Courts.
This is a nicely broken-in, but well-cared for saddle. The seller is calling it an all-around saddle, but Sharon Camarillo saddles are first and foremost barrel racing and competition saddles. It just so happens, however, that the design of the barrel saddle can make it a pretty handy saddle for lots of different riding.
The saddle has an approximately 7 inch gullet, rough out fenders and side jockeys, oak leaf and basket weave tooling on the skirts, back jockeys, fork, and cantle, and a suede seat. This is a handsome saddle. None of that flash and ghastly colors that are sometimes used on barrel saddles.
There’s been a couple of bids, as of this writing, but the bids only have the price to $202.50 and there doesn’t appear to be any reserve, so this could go for a bargain. This is a saddle worth taking a look at.
