The “Used Saddle Pick of the Week”
Every week we scour the Internet searching for a particularly juicy bargain on a high quality used western saddle and feature it here on the WSG Saddle Blog. The saddles featured are listed for sale on ebay as of the date of the post.
The Western Saddle Guide is not the seller of the saddles featured and does not make any representations about them. We encourage all potential buyers to do their own due diligence on the seller and the saddle before purchasing.
Big Horn has been around a long time and has a long tradition of making quality saddles. I’m a bigger fan of the older models than the new ones, however. Picking up an older Big Horn saddle can be a great way to get a good using saddle for a good price.
This week’s Pick is a good example of one of these vintage Big Horn working saddles. This one has a 15: seat, a 7″ gullet, in-skirt double rigging, old time swept back swells on the fork, padded seat, and leaf and floral tooling.
This is a nice solid, using saddle that still has lots of miles left.
