We’ve just launched a new section in the Westen Saddle Guide called the Saddle Makers Corner. Here we let the saddlemakers themselves talk about their craft and share their views on the western saddle.
Our first contributor is Dusty Johnson, saddlemaker, teacher, author, and owner of the Pleasant Valley Saddle Shop and Saddlemaking School. Dusty is the author of Saddle Savvy: A Guide To The Western Saddle and Saddle Making Construction and Repair Techniques
, both bibles in the western saddle world. He definitely knows his stuff and tells it like he sees it.
Dusty has contributed four great articles on Saddle Fit, Saddle Care, Cinches, and Buying a Saddle, and also provides answers to a number of FAQs. You’ll definitely want to check them out. In addition to being very thorough, Dusty isn’t afraid to offer some views that may diverge a bit from the mainstream. Dusty’s not about being trendy, he’s about being effective.
Stay tuned for new additions to the Saddle Makers Corner.
