Quarter Horse Congress: Nothing Else Like It

The Quarter Horse Congress is one of the biggest annual events in the equine world. It’s going on right now (Sept. 30 – Oct 22nd) in Columbus, Ohio. Congress is such a big and broad event that trying to define it is a challenge.
First, it’s the world’s largest single breed horse show. But, it’s more than a horse show. There’s a huge commercial trade show with more than 250 vendors. There’s an excellent lecture series and exciting demonstrations including a Professional Bull Riders event and a free style reining exhibition. There’s a stallion alley. There’s quarter horse racing. There’s a huge quarter horse sale. There’s lots of youth events. And there so much more.
I’ve had the pleasure of attending and it was a fantastic experience. It is like going to the biggest horse carnival you can imagine. There’s so much to see and do, it can be overwhelming.
If you ever have the opportunity, don’t miss it. Congress is held every year in October in Columbus, Ohio. Whether you’re a quarter horse enthusiast or not, the equine-related events, information, and products are unrivaled.
