Protect That Expensive Saddle

If you’ve invested in an expensive, high quality saddle you may be a bit nervous about it disappearing. A company called TacTrac has come up with a nifty technology solution – a microchip! It works just like the microchips that are embedded in horses, using Radio Frequency ID(RFID) technology. The chip, about the size of a grain of rice, has a unique ID number that is listed in a database. The chips can be read by any RFID reader.

Microchips for your horse tack may sound a bit ahead of the curve right now, but we have a feeling this technology will become commonplace before we know it.
